Ultimate Fall Bucket List :: Madison Edition 2017

Whether we like to admit it or not, summer is soon coming to a close and that means fall is arriving in full force. Luckily, fall in Wisconsin has A LOT to offer and there is no shortage of fun! One of our missions is to share ideas outside of the box with you all, and we hope that our bucket list offers that to you. Some are mainstream and many are unique to our community. As always, we LOVE hearing from our readers – so if there is something that you would add to our list, please comment below for others to see! So here goes… Our Ultimate Fall Bucket List!

  1. Visit a Pumpkin Patch
  2. Pick your own Apples
  3. Then Eat Caramel Apples!
  4. Join us for a weekly meetup at Hilldale’s The Green (through September 27!)
  5. Go to a Badgers Volleyball Game
  6. Hit up the Treinen Farm Corn Maze
  7. Jump Around with Bucky… On Wisconsin!
  8. Sign your kids up for IRONKIDS (Sept 9); then watch the Ironman Race – and feel inspired! (Sept 10)
  9. Do Apple Stamping!
  10. Eat some Apple Pie from Hubbard Diner
  11. Run a Race – there are TONS to choose from!
  12. Head to a Yummy Sprout Cooking Class for Kids!
  13. Go to Badger Bash Tailgate (before every home football game!)
  14. Hike one of the many trails in Madison
  15. Bake Pumpkin Muffins (we love THESE!)
  16. Head to Trucks & Treasures (Sept 23)
  17. Family Bike Ride!
  18. See a Movie in the Park (through Sept 30)
  19. Take a Day Trip up to Devil’s Lake State Park
  20. Go to Kids in the Rotunda at the Overture Center
  21. And then… Enjoy every last minute of the Farmers Market!
  22. Get Hot Cocoa from Glacier Grille
  23. Visit Blue Mounds State Park
  24. Make Yummy Fall Treats
  25. Rake ALL the Leaves… then Play in Them!
  26. Relax at the Memorial Union Terrace
  27. Visit Lambeau Field
  28. Check Out Fall Books from the Library
  29. Ride a Pony at Haven’s Petting Farm
  30. Have a Fall Photo Shoot
  31. Stroll through Pope Farms Conservancy
  32. Apple Cider Donuts and Brats at Appleberry Farm
  33. Paint Your Pumpkins
  34. Go on a Betty Lou Cruise (they have an Ice Cream Social choice for kids!)
  35. Tour Sassy Cow Creamery
  36. On a Cold Day Visit an Indoor Play Place in Madison
  37. Do a Camping Scavenger Hunt
  38. Make S’mores
  39. Volunteer at the Local Food Bank
  40. Go to the UW Arboretum and Admire the Fall Colors
  41. Take a Day Trip to Milwaukee
  42. Make Leaf Art
  43. Go to the Olbrich Botanical Gardens
  44. Fly a Kite at Henry Vilas Beach
  45. Visit the Downtown Madison Family Halloween  (Oct 25)
  46. Go to Boo Fest at Festival Foods!
  47. Enjoy a Fall Afternoon with a Hayride through Madison Parks!
  48. Head to Halloween at the Zoo! (Oct 29)
  49. Participate in the Haunted Hustle! (Oct 21-22)
