My husband passed 2 1/2 years ago and we have two beautiful, vivacious girls. My husband was the stay-at-home dad. He put his career of being a golf pro on hold to spend time with his girls. I went to my other love , teaching kindergarten, I was able immerse myself in my 18 other little “children” which I called my own for 180 days.
Since Perry has past, our oldest graduated from Mankato State in Minnesota and is teaching 3rd grade in the town of Waseca. He would be so proud!
Megan and I run the house in McFarland, between all my school activities and hers: Volleyball, basketball, band concerts, solo and ensemble, track,
I recently made a huge decision to back surgery done, in which I had a double fusion along with 4 bone graphs because my bones were not strong enough to hold the screws by themselves. Now the one screw is not in its correct place, along with the complication that I fell down 2 steps leading to the garage and had to have neighbors come to help get me up.
Many feel widows are left with tons of life insurance money….well, that is not the case, It’s my teaching salary that we live on. and I have to say I have the most wonderful “family” of friends in McFarland that completely cleaned/purged everything on the first floor of the house and made it our house!
I would love a day of pampering along with a friend who has helped me on this journey of better health and a new life!

  78. elizabeth hartung April 28, 2014 at 11:16 pm #

  84. Liz D April 29, 2014 at 9:05 pm #

I then had to have emergency gall bladder surgery 2.5 weeks after Jack was born and his first day home from the NICU(he is just fine now!) after recovering from surgery, my mother passed away at 64 from breast cancer. Jack is just starting to learn to take a bottle so needless to say I havent gotten out much! I would LOVE to win a day of pampering!!!!!
