IRONKIDS Fun Run Around Capitol Square :: Ages 3-13

Calling all IRONKIDS! The Madison Area Sports Commission is hosting the IRONKIDS Fun Run on Saturday, September 9th 2017 at 9am (stretches will begin 15 minutes prior to race start). The annual kids race takes place in downtown Madison around the Capitol Square during the IRONMAN® Wisconsin event weekend! It’s such an incredible way to subject your kids to the unique atmosphere of IRONMAN Wisconsin by allowing them to experience the thrill of competition for themselves while enjoying the city we live in and promoting healthy living. Plus, they will feel the pride of calling themselves an IRONKID and can enjoy a post-race celebration in the heart of IRONMAN Village.

The IRONKIDS Fun Run is geared towards kids ages 3-13 and has two distances available. Participants can choose their distance — choices are .6 mile or 1 loop of the Capitol Square; and 1.2 miles or 2 loops of the Capitol Square. The run begins and ends on the 100 block of Martin Luther King Blvd.

I think we can agree that there is always something special about being in downtown Madison with our kids – and the Capitol Square is iconic to our city. The atmosphere of this fun run is definitely one of a kind!
