Holiday Tree Lighting and Fire Truck Parade– Sun Prairie

Fire trucks from area communities decorate their vehicles in holiday splendor and take a trip down Main Street. They will park on Main Street so that you can get up close and personal with the firemen. It’s quite a sight!

90th Annual Christmas ConcertEdgewood College

Celebrate the sounds of the season at the 90th annual Edgewood College Christmas concert. This yearly tradition, now expanded to two performances, features the Edgewood College choirs and Concert Band, along with audience sing-alongs, prelude music by the Guitar Ensemble, and a post-concert reception featuring the Jazz Ensemble.

Prelude music begins 30 minutes prior to the concert, and is provided by the Guitar Ensemble. And once again the Edgewood College Jazz Ensemble will perform during a post-concert reception, complete with cookies and punch.

Tickets are $10, and seating is limited for this very popular annual event. Please purchase tickets online in advance using link above. All proceeds from these performances benefit our students through the Edward Walters Music Scholarship Fund. As such, tickets are non-refundable. Thank you for your support of music at Edgewood College.

Tickets are available online until noon on Thursday, November 30, or until the performances sell out.

Stroll through the 1880s  Crossroads Village decked in holiday greenery, full of homes and shops bustling with holiday preparations!  Enjoy a horse-drawn ride offered from 12pm to 3pm around the village, but keep a watchfdul eye out for the Krampus near the bonfire!  We hope you’ve not been naughty! 

Guests will celebrate the season with a visit to Old World Wisconsin, where traditions from our rich ethnic heritage come to life throughout the Crossroads Village.  Travel back in time, seeing preparations for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day festivities in the late 19th century.  You will encounter figures from Christmas stories, like St. Nicholas, Jultomte, Krampus and of course, Santa Claus.  Hear live, traditional, Holiday brass carols, join in a Hymn Sing, learn about the origins of the Christmas Tree, and keep warm with cider or a cup of wassail!
