Madison Moms Blog was co-founded in August of 2013 by two friends (and moms) who were looking for an all encompassing resource for Madison area families. Both had relocated to the area and felt there was a need for an online community that would provide online resources, share about local events and things to do in the community, provide content geared towards parents and also connect moms and dads offline. In 2015 Jamie’s family relocated to Kohler, Wisconsin – but we are so thrilled that she was willing to help Madison Moms Blog get up and running and help it become what it is today.
We absolutely love the Madison area and all the unique opportunities that our community provides and we love being able to offer a go-to resource to make parenthood in the Madison area a little easier (and more fun) to navigate! If you are looking for something similar in another city, Madison Moms Blog is part of City Moms Blog Network and there are sites all across the US!
If you are interested in being involved with our events, neighborhood groups or in submitting a guest post please email [email protected] Thanks for following along!
Alisa was born and raised in Iowa before attending Arizona State University. She then lived in Chicago, Georgia and Florida before settling in Madison. From her nomadic lifestyle grew a love for the beach, as well as a fondness for spicy food, sushi, white wine, southern charm, Diamondbacks baseball and idyllic ocean sunsets. Alisa and her husband, Joe, are parents to Ava Mae (August 2012) and twins, Nora & Jacob (March 2014). Alisa is a work-from-home mompreneur with a passion for business, fashion, fitness, community and all things mom. When she’s not enjoying time at home with her family, you can find her sweating it out on the tennis court, training for the next big race, pinning her heart out on Pinterest and exploring Madison with her little ones (and sweet Boston Terrier, Peaches) in tow.
Jamie married her high school sweetheart in June 2007. Originally from Iowa, they moved out east for a few years, but couldn’t wait to get back to the Midwest! She’s a hairstylist turned stay-at-home-mom to their 3 daughters – Charlotte, Emma & Hazel. If you run into Jamie around town, you’re sure to find her girls in matching outfits from head to toe! During naptime, she enjoys searching for her next DIY project on Pinterest. She has an unhealthy obsession for ice cream, chocolate, and candy! Shopping, date nights, discovering new local restaurants, baking, party planning, road trips, and spending time with friends and family are just a few things that Jamie loves to do!
