2nd Annual Spring Eggstravaganza (SOLD OUT) | FAQ

12715893_512908472220717_6495892309618621495_oWe are looking forward to seeing many of you this weekend (Saturday, March 19th) at the Princeton Club West (8080 Watts Rd – Madison) from 9:30am – Noon. This event is SOLD OUT and tickets are not available at the door. We wish we were able to accommodate even more of you – but the good news is that we will be announcing our next family event very soon (for June 18th) and it is going to be fantastic!

Things to know about this weekend:

You do NOT need to print your ticket if the tickets are in your name. You can simply present your ID and we will be able to check your name from our registration list. If the tickets are in someone else’s name, you will want to either have paper copies of the tickets or present the tickets on your phone.

If you have a young child (which many of you do!), we would encourage you to try not to bring a stroller into the event unless it is necessary (which we realize sometimes it is!). The main reason for this is that it will be easier for you to maneuver the event without one. And secondly, there is only one elevator (and one set of stairs). If you are able to wear your baby or leave the stroller behind, we encourage you to do so – but that said, they are allowed in!

Be sure to bring:

  • Easter Basket
  • Smiles
  • Camera (lots of photo opts!) – and when you post on social media tag @MadisonMomsBlog and hashtag: #MMBSpring16 for a chance to win tickets to our 2017 Spring Eggstravaganza!
  • Warm jackets (and/or boots) for the Egg Hunt. Currently the forecast is looking to be around average temps for mid – March (high of 48). The Egg Hunt times are as follows: 0-2 year olds, 11:30am; 3-5 year olds, 11:40am; 6+ year olds, 11:50am. So you may not spend a large amount of time outside, but we suggest you are still prepared to bundle up just in case your little one(s) get cold!

At this point the Egg Hunt will take place on the rooftop terrace of the Princeton Club. Should the weather take a severe turn for the worse, we will move it inside. That may be a last minute decision, but we are assuming it will be outside. Either way, your little hunters will not go home empty handed! We have over 5000 eggs and hundreds of prizes AND hundreds of snacks (from Whole Foods) that will also be tossed in the hunting area!)

When you arrive at the Princeton Club, we will have signs visible so you know where to go. Our event will be on the lower level (take the first stairwell going down) and take a right, it will lead you to the gymnasium. This is where our event will be from 9:30-11:30am. As you know, this event is sold out so we expect many of you to arrive right at 9:30am. That said, we did limit ticket sales and will have 5 team members working registration and making every effort to move you all through quickly! We will do our best!

We will have a raffle benefiting Tri4Schools (100% of proceeds go to Tri4Schools). Tickets will be $5/each or 6 for $20. We will accept cash or checks (made out to Tri4Schools) for the raffle. Tickets can be purchased until 11am. Must be present to win.

Madison Smile Solutions is sponsoring our Easter Bunny – he will be around for photos throughout the event!

Laura from Usborne Books will be doing story time at 10am and 11am. If you have any new or gently used books that you would like to donate to Madison Reading Project, please bring them to the event – we will be collecting them at the Usborne station!

360 Athletics will have their tiny dancers performing for us at 10:30am – we hope you will be able to take a couple minutes to take in their adorable performance!

We will have some food available (Freshii, Yummy Sprout, Yola’s (coffee/hot chocolate), Bruegger’s Bagels and Sassy Cow Creamery).

For those of you who purchased the t-shirts – we will have a table for pick up. Cash or checks will be accepted.

Our number one goal with this event is to provide a fun, safe and memorable experience for your children. There are a lot of activities and entreatment planned for the morning – so no one should be bored at any point during the event! If you have any questions before Saturday, please don’t hesitate to ask. Now here’s to hoping that Mother Nature decides to be kind to us!

Thanks so much to our gracious sponsors who help make this event possible!

Will there be a photo op with a pro photographer like last year? I thought I had seen that advertised but I might be mistaken. Thanks!

We are coming with a very busy 2-yr old (and 9-month old). We are very excited but I’m wondering what exactly is going on for the little ones to do before the egg-hunt? I read your notes above and that they won’t be bored but I guess I’m still unsure as to what’s going on! I just envision us not lasting 2 hours before the hunt?!

I agree Heidi!! Afraid we will not make it that long…

        Hi Sam & Heidi!
As a mother of two 2 year olds – I completely understand your concern 🙂 We will have a face painter, Anna & Elsa, story time, 3 different crafts (simple crafts this year!), snacks, photos with Easter Bunny, balloon artist, easter tote decorating, music & dance with Musical Pathways Foundation, dance performance & tumbling with 360 Athletics, piggy bank decorating with BMO, spring activity with Aldo Leopold Nature Center, Tri4Schools will have activities… to name a few. If you are concerned that the time frame might be too long – you are welcome to arrive a little later and time it so you can enjoy some activities and then head up for the hunts. I do plan to have my kids there the whole time and think they will do okay with everything planned. But that is completely up to you! 🙂
